Ben Drowned

He's seen you now, there's no turning back. Ben Drowned, the boy in the video game... or is he? Stories say, he was once a human like me or you, a boy who got bullied at school, whose father was often drunk. They say he found his comfort - what little there was - in his games. They say one day, his father had had enough. That he shoved him under the lake and held him down, not letting him a moment of air. Stories say he fought with all his strength, kicking and hitting and crying for a breath. But not a moment's respite.

He died so young. And a soul so young, so wrongfully killed, is one that refuses to rest in peace. They say, once dead, he ignored his father's hands. That Ben ripped his way into his mind, destroying the drunken mess that it was. And they say that the last thing that man heard, between his terrified sobs and screams for mercy, was the boy's voice saying, "You shouldn't have done that."

But it wasn't enough.

And now Ben stays in his old haunts, in what used to be his only comfort. Twisting the game to his own idea of fun, messing with the minds of any who play the wrong one. And he won't stick to the computer. Give him a moments notice, and he'll stay with you. He'll whisper things inside your head. He'll make you do things you wouldn't have done before. And every now and then, when you're all alone and in the dark, he'll laugh at last, his cold, insane laugh, and whisper, "You shouldn't have done that..."

Like, I've read the creepypasta, but where's Ben's origin story?? I've seen a version or two, but I'm not sure if there's something canon or not... if anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks!
