Cut Throat

You stumble back, hands trembling, mouth agape in shock. The bloody knife slips from from your hand. You'd been attacked. You'd defended yourself. That was all there was to it... right?

But the boy, no, the creature before you was no ordinary back-alley mugger. It reaches up slowly, fingering the fresh slits on its neck. A choking sound escapes it... a laugh? Then it chuckles. Undeniably, chillingly, it chuckles.

"Was that supposed to hurt?"
