The Birth of Fire
Today, I'm posting a story tidbit instead of a picture. I wrote this a little while ago, with inspiration from *drumroll* Pinterest! Haha... Well, I hope you like it! Let me know what you think. PLEASE.

In a night sky far away from here, on a night so long ago no book remembers, there raged a storm to end all storms. Down fell the rain, sheets upon sheets of it, drenching anyone who would've dared to brave it. But on that night, there was no one to do so. Lightning crackled across the sky, tearing a blinding hole in the dreary night. A moment passed, then the thunder followed, so loud the ground shook in fear of it. As fate would have it, the only spot on the earth that might have caught flame had been struck, and upon it woke a beautiful red fire. Sheltered by an overhanging rock and fed by an ancient bird's nest, the fire yawned sleepily, as a child awakening from her first nap. As she sat up, her gown of flames wreathed around her, she opened her eyes. Unsteady and unfocused, their first sight was one of darkness, and an empty plain, and the weeping of the sky. She looked up to the heavens, turning her face to the only mother she knew, and smiled. "Hello."

So, there it is. What say you, critic? By the way, this piece is 100% mine, my creation, my work. No touch.
